What is Ruffled Feathers?
TruuJay lives a life of lavish royalty, until everything takes a dive after he chose to travel to the Beyond! Navigated by the acorn left behind by the king, taking adventure into his own wings, and a few fabulous, feathered, friends along with too. Will this bird lacking the gift of flight be able to rise above these royal pains? Each character will be equivalent to a chakra with a lesson to teach.
On the back of a shell known as planet Gaia, a bird grows up in a realm called Soul City! The first book being “Ruffled Feathers” stars a Blue Jay named TruuJay, who will be a part of a series representing chakras, a system of power created to ground us. We follow his fable when prince TJ discovers an acorn compass gifted from his father, the King of Highlands. A story built to venture into the Throat Chakra, as the name implies, this energy center is around your neck. BlueJay Entertainment presents to you Soul City, where the love of learning takes flight!

It all took flight with a bird. A story that desires to take flight!
BlueJay’s Academy of Air was born from a vision not just to educate—but to awaken. What began as one creative soul’s dream to blend performance, mindfulness, and purpose quickly evolved into a growing flock of change-makers. Along the journey, a team emerged—The Aviary. A talented nest of alumni from the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD), who now help craft every wingbeat of this sky-bound mission.
Together, we’re not just teaching kids how to speak, move, and create—we’re guiding them to soar with confidence, expression, and emotional intelligence. From developing seasonal workshops to designing immersive worlds, every feather in our cap comes from the heart. But we’re just getting started...
Our first children’s book, Ruffled Feathers, is preparing for flight towards legendary fables that lays the foundation for our universe of characters and the soul of our academy.
